What Causes Dry Cough and Chest Pain?

Dry cough and chest pain can be annoying either disruptive. However, it is not a serious disease except it is followed by some symptoms. Dry cough is called as nonproductive while wet cough is called as productive. The most common causes for dry cough are often allergies, asthma and acid reflux.

Allergies
Allergies can cause some symptoms such as watery eyes, nasal congestion, and sneezing. But the obviously sign is a dry cough. Both sinusitis and allergies are able to cause post- nasal drainage that causes recurrent coughing. See your doctor to see whether you are allergy to certain things.

Asthma
A condition in which the bronchial tubes are inflamed called asthma. It usually causes chest tightness, wheezing, and also difficulty in breathing. Regularly, one of the symptoms is dry cough that is back and forth. Go to the hospital to get the right diagnostic.

Cold
cough often occurs with cough whether it is dry or wet cough. However, cough can be a response from your body when it gets irritation in throat or your windpipe. In case that your cough last more than two weeks, you need to see the doctor to rule out pneumonia or bronchitis. You can either try to have home remedy like drinking hot tea with honey to ease the dry cough and chest pain.
